Sales Assistant Consumer Products

Are you service-oriented, love interacting with customers and do you enjoy working in a dynamic environment with organic consumer products? Then this position as Sales Assistant at DO IT Organic could be a great fit for you. We are looking for two new colleagues to work together within our department Consumer Products.

What will you do?

As a Sales Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for our customers and you play a vital role in supporting our Key Account Managers. You ensure that everything around orders, customer enquiries and promotions runs smoothly. You will support the sales team, think along about process improvement and contribute to an optimal customer experience.

You will work closely with four Key Account Managers who focus on customers in the Benelux. Our customers are retailers and distributors of our brands such as La Bio Idea, Amaizin and various private labels. Orders are partly through our webshop, partly through traditional channels.

The position of Sales Assistant can be seen as a combination of sales support and customer service. Your tasks can be divided into two main categories:

Sales Support & Account Management Support

In this role, you will support the sales team and our key account managers in serving organic retail customers at home and abroad. You:

  • Think actively about improving sales and after-sales processes, with a focus on transparency and reliability.
  • Signal customer needs and market trends and translate these into concrete actions and improvements.
  • Coördinate promotions with marketing and sales and evaluate results.
  • Ensure up-to-date and correct customer and product data in CRM, ERP and customer portals, including certifications. This is how you improve our data quality and make optimal use of our systems.

Customer Service, Aftersales & Process Improvement

You will be the first point of contact for our customers and ensure an excellent customer experience. You:

  • Proactively answer customer queries on orders, deliveries and certifications.
  • Analyse recurring queries or complaints, such as on origin, labelling or organic certification, and suggest structural solutions.
  • Actively contribute to structural improvements in customer processes, focusing on accuracy and customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with logistics, purchasing, quality assurance and marketing to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Monitor the correct processing of orders through webshop and traditional channels, including export documentation and after-sales.
  • Contact customers in case of delivery problems and provide clear, customer-oriented solutions.

The Consumer Products department focuses on selling branded organic products and private labels to retail customers. With a growing product range and a strong focus on sustainability and transparency, we serve customers both nationally and internationally. The department is in full development and you will become part of this team that will help build the further professionalisation of our customer processes.

In this role, you will report to the Manager Consumer Products.

What will you bring?

  • You have at minimum a completed MBO level 4 education.
  • You are preferably available to work full-time (40 hours).
  • You have at least 3 years of experience in customer service or sales support, preferably in the food industry or wholesale.
  • You have an excellent command of the Dutch and English language. Speaking Spanish, French, or German would be considered an advantage.
  • You are accurate, analytically strong and tech-savvy; you can easily deal with computers and various systems.
  • You have experience with S&OP, CRM and ERP systems; knowledge of Navision will definitely help you in this role.
  • You enjoy working with colleagues, are service-oriented and like to get to the bottom of things.

Knowledge of organic certification processes and international trade regulations is an absolute plus!
