Sales Assistant Food Ingredients

Then this role as Sales Assistant could really suit you! At DO IT Organic, we are looking for three enthusiastic Sales Assistants within the Food Ingredients department.

What will you be doing?

As a Sales Assistant, you are the first point of contact for our customers and you play a vital role in supporting our Key Account Managers. You will support the sales process from A to Z: from quotation to delivery. You ensure that everything runs smoothly, keep customer contacts warm and help us take our communication to the next level. Your goal is to ensure customer satisfaction and free up the sales team so they can focus on acquisition and relationship management.

You will be linked to a region, within or outside Europe, and you will work closely with the Key Account Managers based there. Which region that is partly depends on your language skills. You have a lot of contact with customers by phone, so you are not afraid to pick up the phone and have conversations. You will also occasionally travel internationally, for example for trade fairs or customer visits.

As Sales Assistant Food Ingredients, your responsibilities include:

  • Frequent contact with customers about orders, deliveries, prices and questions both by phone and through other channels.
  • Assisting with quotes, orders and contracts.
  • Manage customer data and keep CRM up to date.
  • Coordinate communications between customers, suppliers and internal departments.
  • Handle customer queries and complaints professionally.
  • Prepare sales reports and analyses.
  • Signal commercial opportunities and share them with the team.

 

You will work within the Food Ingredients department, where we supply over 750 organic ingredients to B2B customers in the food industry. Our customers are mainly in Europe, but we also serve customers worldwide. These include producers of bakery products, plant-based foods, snacks, ready meals and much more.

Our official webshop makes it easy for customers to place an order and helps us act swiftly. The department is developing rapidly and you will be part of a team that will help to further professionalise our customer communication and processes. Your ideas and initiatives are appreciated and you will be given the space to really make an impact.

In this role, you will report to the Manager Food Ingredients.

What will you bring?

  • You have at least a completed MBO level 4 education.
  • You are preferably available to work full-time (40 hours).
  • You have at least 3 years' experience in sales support or customer service, preferably in the food or wholesale industry.
  • You have excellent command of the Dutch and English languages. Speaking Spanish, French, or German would be considered an advantage.
  • You are accurate, analytically strong and tech-savvy; you can easily deal with computers and various systems.
  • You have experience with S&OP, CRM and ERP systems; knowledge of Navision will definitely help you in this role.

Experience in organic certification and international trade regulations is an absolute plus!

When you join us as a Sales Assistant, you will get:

  • A salary between € 3,000,- and € 3,750,- gross per month, depending on your knowledge, skills and experience.
  • Premium-free pension scheme: we pay your share!
  • 24 holidays and 8% holiday pay (paid out in May).
  • An annual profit distribution in case of a positive operating results (paid out in the second quarter).
  • Your commuting expenses (€0.23 per km from 10 km) are calculated and paid automatically. So you do not need to submit any expenses.

  • Every two weeks a catered lunch (optional) for a contribution of €3.95 gross per time.
